Zamtel Mobile Money is excited to announce a logo redesign competition aimed at engaging youth creatives in Zambia. As a Zambian owned mobile money service provider, we are committed to fostering creativity and innovation while empowering young talents to showcase their skills. This competition offers an opportunity for aspiring designers to leave their mark on Zamtel Money's brand identity and contribute to its evolution.

Competition Objective

The primary objective of the logo redesign competition is to create a fresh, modern, and impactful logo that resonates with Zamtel Money's values and appeals to our diverse audience, particularly the youth demographic. We aim to capture the essence of innovation, reliability, and accessibility in the new logo while reflecting Zamtel Money's commitment to empowering individuals and driving financial inclusion.

Competition Rules

A. Eligibility:

The competition is open to all youth creatives aged 18 to 25 residing in Zambia.

B. Submission Guidelines:

1. Participants must submit their logo designs digitally in vector format (e.g., AI, EPS, SVG).

2. Each participant can submit up to three unique logo designs.

3. Submissions must be original and should not infringe on any copyright or trademark.

C. Design Criteria:

1. Logos should be versatile, scalable, and easily recognizable in various contexts.

2. Designs should reflect Zamtel Money's brand values and convey a sense of trust, innovation, and inclusivity.

3. Participants are encouraged to incorporate elements that represent mobile money, technology, and financial empowerment.

D. Deadline:

The deadline for submission is 31st March 2024 Late submissions will not be considered.

E. Selection Process:

1. Entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges consisting of representatives from Zamtel Money and design experts.

2. The winning design will be selected based on creativity, originality, relevance to the brand, and overall visual appeal.

F. Prizes:

First Prize (Grand Prize):The winner of the first prize will receive K10,000 in cash as well as recognition and exposure for their work. Additionally, they will be offered a three-month internship with Zamtel Money's design team, providing valuable hands-on experience and mentorship in the field of graphic design and branding. This internship opportunity will offer the winner a unique chance to further develop their skills, gain practical industry insights, and build their professional portfolio.

Second Prize: The recipient of the second prize will be awarded K5,000 in cash as well as recognition for their outstanding design. This prize acknowledges the creativity and talent of the runner-up in the competition.

Third Prize: The third-place winner will receive K2,500 in cash as a token of appreciation for their participation and creative contribution to the competition. This prize recognizes the efforts and skills of the third-place contestant.

G. Ownership and Usage Rights:

By participating in the competition, participants grant Zamtel Money the exclusive rights to use, reproduce, and modify their submitted designs for promotional and commercial purposes.

Participants retain the right to showcase their designs in their portfolio or personal promotional materials, with proper attribution to Zamtel Money.

Participants should submit their entries via email to logodesign@zamtel.co.zm with the subject line "Zamtel Money Logo Redesign Competition Entry."

Along with the logo design, participants must include their name, age, contact information, and a brief description of their design concept.

Submissions will be acknowledged upon receipt, and participants will be notified of the results after the judging process.
